The Sassy Jax Interactive Pain Scale Pin was created to give healthcare professionals a simple, visual and approachable way to support conversations about pain.

✨ From a hand-drawn idea to a bespoke Sassy Jax pin!

This design started life as a hand drawing before being carefully developed into our very own enamel pin badge — created with healthcare professionals and their patients in mind.

🌈 Interactive Pain Scale

The pin features a colourful 0–10 pain scale, with easy-to-recognise facial expressions ranging from “No hurt” through to “Hurts the worst.”

The little heart slider can be moved along the scale, allowing a patient to indicate the face or number that best represents how they are feeling.

It can be particularly useful as a friendly visual aid when communicating with:

- Children and young people

- Patients who prefer visual communication

- Patients who may find it difficult to explain their pain verbally

- Anyone who may benefit from a simple visual prompt
